Week 48, Monday, How Do You Smell?

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.

– 2 Corinthians 2:14-17

How do you smell? Do you smell like victory? We have victory through Jesus. He conquered, hell, and the grave. You know how you feel after a win or a victory? It is amazing. There is a refreshing feeling of accomplishment that comes with being victorious. As Christians we should have that feeling every day. Bad days will come, but we should always have the perspective of God, so that His Smell is on our clothes, in our hair, and on our lives.

God has given us a wonderful job, to help Him share the truth in Christ! We should be approachable by anyone in our job. How do you smell? Do you have the fragrance of His knowledge in every aspect of your life? We are not merely peddling God’s Word, we are living it out loud every day for those who haven’t trusted Christ yet. It is a matter of life or death. What will you smell like today?

Father God, we humbly come to You Today. We thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus on a cross for our sins. We thank You for allowing us to help You complete Your mission. God, we ask You to strengthen us spiritually, mentally, and physically in order to share Your love or fragrance with everyone we come in contact with in our daily lives. Please help us not to get so wrapped up in our lives and daily routines that we forget those around us who smell nothing good in life. God, help us smell of You in all that we do! Amen!
